Established in June 1992, Apotex NZ Ltd is a member of the Apotex Pharmaceutical Group of Companies, a globally-integrated group of affiliated organisations whose corporate purpose is the research, development, manufacture and marketing of affordable, safe and effective medicines. The New Zealand operation employs around 32 staff and distributes approximately $12 (NZ) million of generic pharmaceuticals and pharmacy products in New Zealand every year. These products have directly assisted in reducing the cost of medicines to New Zealand taxpayers.
