Vectavir Cold Sore Cream 2grams

Used in the treatment of cold sores. It contains an advanced anti-viral agent, called penciclovir, which is effective against the herpes simplex virus.
Use Vectavir, at the first sign of cold sore, such as itching, burning or tingling. Even if the cold sore is at the blister stage, Vectavir will help speed up the healing process, reduce pain and get you back to normal.

Vectavir Cold Sore Cream

Ingredients
2grams Penciclovir 1% w/w.
propylene Glycol as a preservative.

Directions

1. wash your hands before and after use.

2. squeeze a small amount of cream on to the tip of your finger.

3. apply to the affected area at 2 hourly intervals during the day and at least 6 times a day and continue treatment for 4 days.

Side Effects
Some irritation may also occur if you apply an excessive amount of cream to your skin. If you forget to apply the cream, use it as soon as you remember and continue the usual routine. Most people using Vectavir find it causes them no problems. You may experience a stinging, burning or numb feeling when you first start treatment, but these side effects should disappear. If any side effect worsens and becomes severe you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Not recommended for children under 12 years.
Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Avoid Kissing and do not allow others to touch your cold sore.
Do not share your cream or towel as cold sore are infectious.
You should see your doctor if your cold sore does not heal properly after treatment. Vectavir is not harmful if a small amount is accidentally swallowed though it may cause minor irritation to the mouth.
