Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms govern your use of this site. They set out what this site does, what it deliberately does not do, how our commercial relationships work, and where our responsibility ends. Reading them takes a few minutes and will save you from assuming we can do things we cannot.
Acceptance of these terms
By opening any page on this site you accept the terms on this page as they stand at that moment. If you disagree with any part of them, the appropriate response is to stop using the site rather than to continue on different assumptions.
We may revise these terms as the site changes. The revision date sits at the top of this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised version. We recommend re-reading this page if you rely on the site for professional decisions.
What this site is, and what it is not
This site is an independent publisher. We write about how to buy website traffic, what it costs, and which platforms do what. Everything published here is editorial material intended to inform a purchasing decision.
We are not an advertising network. We do not sell traffic, do not operate campaigns on your behalf, do not hold balances, and do not process payments. We have no access to any account you open with a platform we write about, and no ability to influence how that platform treats you.
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell advertising inventory. Where we describe a platform's pricing, formats or payout terms, we are reporting what that platform publishes or what independent sources record, not making an offer of our own.
Decisions about where to spend money are yours alone. We do our best to describe the trade-offs accurately, including the ones that reflect badly on platforms we earn from, but the judgement remains yours. Our verification process is documented in the editorial policy.
Who this site is for
This site is written for people buying advertising in a commercial capacity: marketers, affiliates, agency staff and business owners. It assumes a working knowledge of terms such as CPM, CPC and conversion tracking, and it is not written for minors.
By using the site you confirm you are at least eighteen years old and are acting in a business or professional context. Some of the advertising verticals discussed here, including adult inventory, are restricted to adults in most jurisdictions.
Affiliate links and how we are paid
This site contains affiliate links. When you click a button leading to an advertising platform and later register or spend money there, we may receive a commission from that platform. This is our primary source of revenue and it funds the research, writing and hosting behind every page.
Clicking such a link costs you nothing extra. The terms you receive from the platform, including deposit minimums, rates and payout schedules, are identical to those you would receive by typing the address directly into your browser.
A commercial relationship does not buy favourable coverage. We publish the weaknesses of platforms we earn from, including complaints recorded on independent forums, and we state plainly when a platform's own figures are self-reported and unaudited. Where we cannot verify a claim, we say so on the page rather than repeating it as fact.
If you would rather not pass a referral, visit the platform directly. Nothing on this site restricts that choice, and the editorial content remains identical either way.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
Advertising platforms change their pricing, formats, deposit thresholds and payment methods without notice and without announcements. A rate that was correct on the day we checked it can be wrong a month later, which is why every page carries the date the sources were checked.
We verify what can be verified: platform documentation, published policies of major advertising programmes, industry research, and dated feedback on independent forums. We do not treat competitor articles as a source, because they routinely copy each other and propagate figures that were never checked.
Even so, we do not warrant that everything on this site is complete, current or free of error at the moment you read it. Before committing a budget, confirm the numbers that matter to you in the platform's own interface or with its account manager.
Not professional advice
Material on this site is general information about a commercial market. It is not marketing consultancy, not financial advice, not legal advice and not tax advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances, your offer, your margins or your risk tolerance.
Advertising spend can be lost entirely, whatever you read here before deciding to buy website traffic. A campaign that performs for one advertiser can fail for another on identical settings, because the offer, the landing page and the audience differ. If a decision carries material financial consequences, take advice from someone who can review your specific situation.
Intellectual property
The text, structure, layout, code and original graphics on this site belong to its publisher unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages for commentary or reporting provided you credit the source and link to the original page.
Reproducing pages in full, republishing our tables, or using our material to train or populate another site is not permitted without written consent. Brand names, logos and product names belonging to advertising platforms remain the property of their owners and appear here for identification and commentary.
If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, contact us through the contact page with enough detail to identify the material and we will respond.
Links to other sites
We link to advertising platforms, official policy documents, industry research and independent forums. Those destinations are outside our control, and their content, availability, security and privacy practices are their own responsibility.
A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site, and following one is at your own risk. Read the terms and privacy policy of any platform before you open an account with it.
Acceptable use
You may read, quote and share this site freely. You may not scrape it at volume, attempt to interfere with its availability, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful material.
Automated access that degrades the site for other readers may be blocked without notice. Where such activity is unlawful, we reserve the right to report it.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we do not guarantee that the information will produce any particular commercial result.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost advertising spend, lost profit, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published here. We are likewise not liable for the acts or omissions of advertising platforms, including refused payouts, closed accounts or changed terms.
If you have a dispute with an advertising platform, raise it with that platform's support and, where relevant, with the advertising programme whose policies are involved. We have no standing in such disputes and no ability to resolve them.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you use the site from elsewhere, you are responsible for compliance with any local law that applies to you.
Before any formal step, we ask that you raise the matter with us in writing so it can be resolved directly. Most issues turn out to be factual corrections, and those we make quickly.
Availability of the site
We publish this site on a best-effort basis. Pages may be unavailable during maintenance, during an attack on the hosting infrastructure, or because a third-party service we depend on has failed. We do not commit to any level of uptime and we do not compensate for downtime.
We may also add, rewrite, merge or withdraw pages at any time. Where a page is withdrawn because its subject no longer exists or its figures can no longer be verified, the withdrawal is a deliberate editorial act rather than an oversight, and the reasoning behind such decisions is set out in our editorial policy.
Links you have saved may therefore stop working. If a page you relied on has disappeared and you need to know what became of it, ask us and we will tell you.
Your responsibilities when acting on this material
Advertising rules differ by country, by vertical and by platform. Material that is acceptable in one market may breach local advertising law, consumer protection rules or platform policy in another, and some verticals discussed here carry restrictions that apply to the advertiser rather than to the network.
Checking that a campaign is lawful where it runs is your responsibility, not ours. The same applies to any obligation you have towards a monetisation programme you participate in: sending purchased visits to pages carrying third-party advertising can breach that programme's rules regardless of where the traffic came from.
